This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Sterling Heights is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sterling Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Absolutely loved the food! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The meat flatbread was delicious. The portions were generous, and everything tasted amazing. Plus good service! Definitely recommend this place and would come back again!

We visited Gul Gul today and had a pleasant overall experience. We ordered the Beef Iskender, Turkish lentil soup, Cheese Kofta, and Adana Kebab. The food was good, but it wasn’t as flavorful or memorable as I had hoped. The portions were decent, and everything was served fresh. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. What really stood out was the service. Maria was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional. She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and checked on us throughout our meal without being intrusive. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant with a great atmosphere and outstanding customer service. Maria’s hospitality definitely made the experience more enjoyable.

A hidden gem I am so glad we found! This Turkish-Lebanese fusion restaurant exceeded all our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing—served hot, fresh, and bursting with ethnic flavors. The ambience was eclectic and phenomenal, and the waitstaff were some of the friendliest we’ve ever had—so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. An unforgettable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Great food, great prices, and wonderful service. Saw some other reviews about their service but has no problems-- Matti was very attentive, helped me with the menu, described everything we were served, and was extremely friendly and polite. i also had an affogato and loved it. Food is fresh, tasty, with great portions. Will be back for breakfast :)

We almost didn’t eat here, after seeing the one review on Yelp, but we had made the 50 minute drive, and figured we should give it a try. We are so glad we did. The interior is creatively done and made to look like a traditional/old town in Lebanon, which is super cute! Our waitress was so sweet and helpful and gave us great and honest recommendations. I feel bad that I didn’t get her name, but hopefully the owner can figure it out, because she needs a raise. We ordered the virgin mojito type drink and the leban and both were great. We did the lahmacun for an app, and it was so delicious, that we both said we would make the drive just for that alone. We did the combo for 2 for dinner, and we could have gotten away with a combo for 1. It was a ton of food, and we brought a lot home. The grand finale was the knafeh and ice cream… the knafeh was one of the best I have tasted, and their ice cream was heavenly. I was so stuffed, but couldn’t waste that ice cream, and took it to eat in the car 😂. Their Turkish coffee was perfection. The prices on all the items are a little steep, like $10 for a non alcoholic drink, but the quality is there and you get what you pay for. We can
